No other country except Pakistan can be so friendly to my mother land Afghanistan but there is a need of understanding between these two countries. These two countries are the owners of two nations which are similar to one another in many aspects. If these two nations would not be touched with one another by religion, culture, language and history we would never see that Russian forces enter Afghanistan to apply their plans which were the most harmful for Afghanistan, but at a same time a neighboring Islamic country Pakistan opens its doors and accepts a huge flow of refugees which is continuous still now. Living in Pakistan was beneficial for Afghans, who left their home and took shelter in Pakistan but it was the greatness of most of The Pakistanis that considered them guests not the refugees. In this whole scenario the role of Pakistan seems like the role of a big brother which helps and forgets. The big Jihady leaders were supported here to fight against a big enemy the Russian troops. And a day came when the big enemy was forced to leave Afghanistan for ever and freedom fighters called Mujahideen got the power in their hands. When Kabul was ruled by Mujahideen leaders it was expected that Kabul will have good relations with Islamabad because of Pakistan’s hospitality which took on that time more than a decade but never happened so. It seemed that like the country was in the hands of inexperienced people who were fighting with one another so what could neighboring countries expect from them. But After passing more and more years today Afghanistan is no more ruled by inexperienced Mujahideen leaders. Today’s Kabul is different from yesterday. From one side it is the host of the soldiers of more than twenty countries which are hunting the extremist and terrorists and from the other side the power of Kabul is in the hand of Hamid Kerzay who is considered the best among the Afghan leaders and is well supported by USA, UK and even Pakistan. Today Afghanistan is in a position that Pakistan and other neighboring countries can expect good friendship and good relations from it. Among the other countries Pakistan has the right to think so because it is still the host of more than 2.5 million Afghan refugees. Kabul and Islamabad were never enemies but it is also fact that they were not good friends too. Although the leaders of the two countries always claim officially that ones good condition is in the interest of the other but the ground reality always remains different. In Kabul people think that the new look of Afghanistan is not acceptable to Pakistan and in Islamabad it’s considered that Afghanistan is not like a friendly country. But both the countries are still relying on one another. Both the countries need one another. The new look of Kabul is not only in the fever of Afghanis but also for Pakistanis it brings opportunities with it. The statistics show that more than hundred thousand Pakistanis are working in Kabul in different positions. But the numbers of Afghanis living in Pakistan is not in thousands it is in millions. On the other hand if Afghanistan is bound to accept and import the daily used commodities from Pakistan which remains the low cast provider, On the other hand Afghanistan is a big market for Pakistan .Pakistan exports its commodities more than any other country to Afghanistan. And If Afghanistan and Pakistan become agree both the countries can share their benefits by having roots to central Asia. It is fact that Pakistan and Afghanistan are similarly affected by terrorists and extremists which remain the most dangerous group for both the neighboring countries but still the point of view to fight against these groups is different in both the countries. In presence of collision and NATO forces in Afghanistan this country has no other way to deal with fighting Taliban .Afghanistan seems in do or die position. In Afghanistan the terrorists group are becoming powerful by passing every day. And in Afghanistan even a common man is of the view that without the help of Pakistan Taliban cannot growth inside Afghanistan. But this point of view hides many other hands which might be involved in this process. In Pakistan though people hate bombers and suicide attackers but some times the efforts of Pakistan are considered doubtful for the western world and even Afghanistan. After the peace deal with Taliban Pakistan has provided a big chance to Afghanistan to criticize this deal because the leader of Tahreke Taliban in Pakistan Baitullah Masud in his first interview of him with media after the deal claimed that they are stopping their activities in Pakistan but through Afghanistan there will be no change in their policy. Afghanistan becomes disappointed when hears that in Pakistan some retired army Generals of Pakistan call the Taliban the freedom Fighters. But it can also not be forget when the president Kerzay says Afghan troops have the right to enter Pakistan and destroy the hideouts of Baitullah Masud, Mawlawi Omar and Mawlana Fazlullah. Pakistan may not say anything to the attack of NATO and ISAF forces inside Pakistan but from the mouth of a small brother ( Afghanistan) getting these words will never be appreciated .Rather it can affect the relations of Pakistan and Afghanistan. Afghanistan and Pakistan must not forget that what the officials of the both countries say is not the view of the Nations of the both countries but still this process can affect the relations. So it’s the need of the time that Kabul and Islamabad should forget what that passed but should accept one another through the core of heart. It’s never too late to start the friendship gain.
